I stand for Peace in the
presence of conflict.
I stand for Love in the
presence of hatred and fear.
I stand for Forgiveness
in the presence of injury.
I honor the many names
for God, the many paths to God;
for I know there is only
one power and presence of God
and God loves each one of
us equally.
I urge all nations,
their leaders, and their people to turn to God,
by whatever name,
for guidance during these
challenging times
and to pursue peace,
for peace honors the God
of all faiths.
I stand for Peace in my lifetime.

Sometimes
people think that calling on God means inviting a force into our
lives that will make everything rosy. The truth is, it means,
inviting everything into our lives that will force us to grow - and
growth can be messy. |

 Isn’t
it funny we think that becoming spiritual buys us a free ticket to
the land of never-gonna-be blue again?
Most of the highly enlightened folks I know, still have issues to
overcome, strides to make in healing their stuffed pain, just like
the rest of us.
 We
are here to thrive, grow, and to become fully awakened to the
magnificence that exists inside each of us that we have somehow lost
touch with. God never said we wouldn’t have to face the day to
day task of living in the world, or that we would find our journey of
living an easy one. We are told that whatever we face, we are never alone.
 So
if there are days when you think you are going to drown in the sea
of life ain’t a workin’,
just remember, it ain’t so much what happens to us, but rather
how we face it and what we learn from the experience.
 Faith
it till you make it! You have the power
within you to do great things, the power within to change the world.
 Never
give up! Never give in! Keep on Keepin’ on ...
If Spirit is for you (and it always
is), who or what can be against you? No matter what, you
can make it! |

Every day each of us experiences
situations when we have to make a choice how we will respond. You can
respond by looking for the good. For instance:
When a negative political ad
comes on the TV or radio, mute the sound or change the channel.
When someone cuts you off in
traffic, bless them on their way.
When someone directs angry or
hurtful words at you, respond in love.
Repeat this affirmation to yourself:
I make a
positive difference. I look for the good in this situation and
respond with love, wisdom and understanding. |

We always need volunteers to
bring goodies on Sundays. See Ann Burns or Marci Richardson

Generation of Unity if you're a young adult who is 18 to 35ish

of Unity principles
An opportunity to
bring Unity home

participating. Plan to sign up and attend the first meeting to find
out more of what "Next Generation of Unity" is all about! |

We are presently seeking
volunteers to permit our Sound Technician, Rodney Walker,
opportunities for some much needed "down time." Since his
first day in the position on the first Sunday of 2006, Rodney has
missed only one Sunday. If you are interested in helping in this area
and learning a few things about operating audio equipment, please see
Rodney at the sound board following the service. |
